Stevie Dennis, owner of Naas Foods, has been honored as the 2025 NACCA Indigenous Youth Entrepreneur Award Winner. A proud Nuu-chah-nulth entrepreneur from Tofino, he leads an Indigenous-owned business specializing in seafood processing and kelp farming. Naas Foods sources 90% of its seafood from local Indigenous fisheries and employs a workforce that is 75% Indigenous, offering above-average wages and stable seasonal employment. Managing the largest kelp farm in British Columbia, the company is at the forefront of innovation—pioneering sustainable harvesting methods and developing new products with plans to expand nationwide. Through this work, he empowers his community, mentors emerging leaders, and honors a deep connection to the land and sea.
Congratulations to Stevie and his family on this well-deserved recognition of his leadership and commitment.
